Former Nashville Kat QB Andy Kelly (Tennessee) will be the Head Coach of "Team Tennessee" in the new All-American Football League, which will be playing their home games at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. The league launches play in April of 2008. Here's the link: www.allamericanfootballleague.com/Tennessee/coachesplayers.php

What MORON wrote that bio?
Any idiot should know, Andy Kelly made his mark in the Arena League mainly with THE NASHVILLE KATS.

Hmm, there seems the be a team missing from his bio Yes, I noticed that too. Someone with "Team Tennessee" is doing a great job (sarcasm) building the old fan base.

Also sounds like another football league that doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Guam.

I say they complete their first season, and at least attempt a second - but not with all the teams.
Meanwhile, how long has the NAFL been playing while the media ignore them?

What's the All-American Football League? Is this Cuban's league? No. This league is a 6-team spring (April-May) outdoor football league that is a professional league (player salaries of about $100,000/yr) basically piggybacking on the popularity of college football (Former UT AD Doug Dickey is one of the honchos of this league, and the Commissioner is a former NCAA President). The Tennessee franchise will play its' home games at Neyland Stadium; Clint Stoerner will be the QB of the Arkansas franchise. One rather unique rule is that you have to have completed your bachelor's degree to play in the league (yes, Joe Namath became eligible TODAY). They've got some big stadiums to try and fill. Their franchises for year 1 are in Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Texas, and Michigan. In 9 or 10 of the 44 states where the new league doesn't have teams, the coaching staffs of NAFL teams conducted combines for them.

Meanwhile, how long has the NAFL been playing while the media ignore them? 2008 will be the NAFL's 10th season of play, and the Nashville Storm's 7th. And while the Storm doesn't merit Titan-Predator-UT-Vandy type coverage, I agree with you that the Storm should get quite a bit more "love" than we get (and, since you're on my press release e-mail list, you know we give them quite a bit of info). With most of the local media, we seem to not only rank behind the logical headliners mentioned above, but behind teams like the Nashville Metros and the Nashville Dream as well (who are in equal leagues to the NAFL in their respective sports and don't win nearly as much as the Nashville Storm does). In November of 2006, we played in the NAFL's National Championship Game at Disneyworld in Orlando and it didn't rate a mention in either of the two daily Nashville newspapers (even though I assure you they had every detail). The bottom line here is that the news media doesn't print news about the Nashville Storm because they believe that their readers aren't interested in reading about the Nashville Storm, and the only thing that will change this is for people interested in knowing more about us to convince them that their current opinion is wrong.
